Davide De Gobbi comes from Italy, owning over 20 years experience in the motorsports management area. He was voted “Promoter of the year” by Auto News in 2012 and was featured on the cover story for Auto News 2013 April issue.

In Italy, Davide has worked in the Top F3 team Prema Power for nearly 10 years, from the team engineer to technical director and the team manager. He has accumulated rich experience of racing and management. At the same time he served as driver coach and driver headhunter in Toyota F1 Academy, the coach of  Robert Kubica , Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima. He could have landed a more senior position in F1, but he chose to come to China, to develop China’s motorsport business.

Davide started to contact China's motorsport market in 2004, later he came to China as technical director, leading the Chinese team in the Asian Formula Renault to win the driver and team championship many times. Founding Topspeed Limited Shanghai, Davide started working on motorsport events and culture promotion. He helped VW Scirocco, Ferrari, and Lamborghini to import their one-make event brand and developed to be the models of China racing. Davide also worked on the top driving course, like Ferrari Corso Pilota, Lamborghini Driving Academia, Pure McLaren etc. 

Davide’s greatest ambition is  to send Chinese drivers to F1 podium.

From its inception, Topspeed has identified the event services as the main business direction, mainly including race event operations and the track day activities organizing two big business directions. This company has successfully operated for 7 race brands and promoted more than 200 top-level driving training activities.

Event Operating

RACE EVENT
Since its establishment, Topspeed has successfully organized the Volkswagen scirocco R cup tournament official organization Formula Masters China, Lamborghini bought Super Trofeo Asia, Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific and Asia Le Mans series. As the official organization team,  we provide management services, race steward and the logistics services, help all the events in China and Asia within the scope of remarkable achievements.

TRACK DAY
Relying on our own motor racing platform and resources, Topspeed provides clients including decoration design, vehicle maintenance, event organization, professional driving instructors and media PR. Since Topspeed was established, we have worked for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bentley and other international luxury car brands to organize the track day activities. The venues include  Shanghai, Malaysia, Fuji and other famous Asia international circuits.

Motorsports Logistics

Race logistics  is one of our important businesses, and also the important basis to ensure the event has successful operations. Topspeed directly handles every link of the materials and vehicle transportation, point-to-point transport, custom clearance and other services, ensure the materials arrive on time, to control whole event material transportation timeliness.

Top Speed Sports Events LS Limited has introduced an innovative method for loading GT race cars in containers that can bring savings up to 30% in the overall logistics budget of a racing series. We are specialized in design and produce double deck 40’HC containers that can load up to 4 GT cars with a drastic reduction of the number of the containers needed for a racing series.

We are also responsible for event spare parts management. Using SAP inventory management system, barcodes are scanned upon receiving and picking to ensure that product locations are matching exactly to what is organized in the system. Precise management of the accessories to ensure that each team can complete the maintenance on time, ensure the cars go well in the competition.

Technical Service

TS has a racing technical team with over 20 technicians experienced in varies races of formula and GT. With the rich experience of race car technology, the technical team has wide competence and experience dealing with high performance vehicles. Our experience in motorsports has given us the ability to serve the most unique demands from customers, covering the most common and special maintenance and upgrades.

Catering & VIP Launge

From 2014, Top Speed Sports Events LS Limited has introduced a new concept for customized catering at the driving experience and motor sport events where Top Speed Sports Events LS Limited is involved. We have developed the concept of “movable kitchen” to follow most of our events throughout Asia guaranteeing consistency with professional chefs, fresh products and the possibility to repeat the same service in every and each city that will host the driving event.
